JM Harrington

JM Harrington was born in East Ham one year to the day before England won the world cup in 1966. He attended the university of life, the school of hard knocks and the kindergarten of having the crap kicked out of you. A semi-cockney, not born within the sound of Bow bells but around the corner from the Boleyn Castle.

He has been interested in the dark ages since he was a young boy at Primary School when he was first introduced to the Saxons and Vikings. Since the age of seven it fired his love of history and historical fiction.

So far most of his spare time has been studying the Danes, Norse and Saxons with the odd weekend off to watch football and drink beer.

He is working on his own Norse Saga based around one of the main characters from Njal’s Saga. It is embellished with quotes from ‘The Poetic Edda’ and ‘The Saxon Chronicle’ to hopefully enhance the story.

He has a few more stories in his head all based within the dark ages of northern Europe.

JM Harrington carries a little black book around for writing ideas and it has filled up quite quickly with thoughts on future works. Although he enjoys historical fiction he has ideas that cross other genres.
