Mary Goyer, M.S., is a holistic counselor & trainer specializing in the intersection of leadership development, connection skills, and personal development for executives in high-impact organizations. She draws upon her traditional training in Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT), her background in conscious communication, and her expertise in mind-body healing techniques to help professionals in struggling teams tap into their creative, collaborative potential, and to move forward in a satisfying career.
Mary enjoys writing accessible stories, articles, and books for executives, parents, teachers, and kids that highlight emotional intelligence, communication skills, empathy basics, and activism.
Mary spent the first leg of her career as an educator, counselor, and consultant working with “at-risk” tweens and teens. She supported students directly for years, and continues to offer her work in schools, providing keynotes and training for educators. Her passion for teaching intra/interpersonal skills is part of Mary’s holistic approach to encourage students’ academic success, ultimately helping them grow into contributing, balanced adults. This passion has inspired numerous corporate/school partnership projects which aim to resource schools with social-emotional programming for their students, teachers, and parents.
Mary’s warm, interdisciplinary approach for busy professionals combines her training, coaching, and counseling backgrounds to support the individuals in organizations who are good at what they do, but are not so skilled at leading and managing. She helps them cultivate the relationship skills that make a true impact – at work, at home, and in the larger community.
