Felix Santos

Felix Santos is a B.Sc. (UFMG), M.Sc.(UFSC) in mechanical engineering and Ph.D.(UMCP) in mathematics. He has been (and still is) a professor in engineering at the Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil, for 30 years. Felix was born in Montes Claros, north of the State of Minas Gerais. Since when he was a child he writes poems and short stories as a way of understanding things and himself. He uses to say that "poetry provides the freedom to manufacture meanings and prose allows oneself to express the world as a mixing of desire, perception and imagination".
