When being involuntary outed at the height of his career and forced to find new ways of surviving, Damian Maher asked himself what was he best at and what gave him most pleasure in life—and started writing. This One Thing was his first novel, but he published his first poem at the age of seven. He doesn’t write about big events—according to him the most interesting tensions and drama lie in human interactions. He lives in nature and with the man of his life.
