Jael Penn

Jael Penn is a Hoosier by birth and resides in Texas with her two daughters. She was born in Indiana to Oliver, a plant supervisor, and Naomi, an evangelist and gospel singer. As a child, she wanted to be either a doctor or an actress. She loved watching movies and this is how her passion for writing began. She wrote poems, short stories, and plays early in life. As she got older, she began to write children’s books, curriculum manuals, and nonfiction books.

She was blessed to go to a Christian school where she fell in love with Jesus. Her family went to church faithfully on Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday. She taught Sunday school for the kids. As an adult, she became a teacher and her work with children continued. It wasn’t until she was in her forties that she decided to seriously pursue writing and ministry work again.

“Mirror Mirror on the Wall” was the first published work by this author. The book reveals Jael’s brokenness, depression, and anger. She overcame a lot and now encourages other women who have survived rape, molestation, depression, and other life experiences. Her desire is to help women see who they are in Christ; lovable, worthy, perfectly imperfect masterpieces created by God.
