I started writing at 60. At 61 I proposed to co-write a biography, my first book. I learned through my own research how to interview, compile and coordinate the chapters into a cohesive unit. I also learned you should always, always create a contract

of some type, before you start your project. Luckily we were both good runners who understood what it meant to be "Born to run". This book tells the rest of the story. My main contribution was Chapter 10, which allows the reader to see a comparison between protagonist, Ino Cantu, and other great runners from previous eras and compare backgrounds.

I'm now critiquing stories from my great aunt (through my California cousin's). Aunt Blanche originally wrote a series of true stories during the mid- 1940's. At the time, she was a Border Patrol Collector to her husband, a Border Patrol Agent. Some are odd, some are extraordinary and some are just too humorous to describe with words. Its due for publication sometime between 2023 and 2024. A certain amount of editing is always necessary. I'm doing very little to change her words, I want

to capture her frame of mind during the events between 1940 and 1945. We will probably include a certain amount of information

concerning WW II and the effect on the rest of the world, especially that of the United States. It will be a process to get where we

want to be, when we go to print.
