I do not believe in managing pain. I believe in ending it.

For over 26 years, I have worked at the intersection of elite athletic performance and human movement — first as a strength and conditioning coach at the University at Buffalo, then as a graduate assistant coach at the University of Hawai'i, where I oversaw the softball, baseball, soccer, golf, swimming, and football programs while earning my Master's degree in Kinesiology. During that time I also served as an adjunct professor, teaching kinesiology and weightlifting — and discovered early that the body and the mind cannot be separated. So I brought friends Ralph Waldo Emerson and Walt Whitman into the weight room. My athletes were better for it and remind me to this very day.

After graduating, I was hired by Davone Bess, wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, as a performance enhancement coach and head of his non-profit organization, The Bess Route Foundation — working simultaneously on the physical and psychological dimensions of performance. The mentorship program I developed for Broward County schools, 7 Ways to Change Your Mind, earned Bess the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award and the foundation a Generation Nexxt award for best new program.

My client list has since included UFC Champions, Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees, and members of the CIA and Pentagon. I holds over ten certifications in health, wellness, and human performance, and have owned and operated multiple training businesses across my career.

But it was my own body that became my greatest teacher.

A childhood injury — sustained at age seven and never properly addressed — set off a cascade of dysfunction that took decades to unravel. That personal reckoning became the foundation of my Pain Bible series: a collection of evidence-based, movement-first guides that challenge the conventional medical model and give readers the tools to understand and resolve their own pain. Three of my nine self-published books have become bestsellers. My flagship principle of pressure first, stretching second, and strength third, is used worldwide to release and restore movement in ways that surgery and pharmaceuticals cannot.

My philosophy is simple: your pain has an origin story. Find it, address it, and the body — given the right conditions — will heal itself.

The Hip Pain Bible is my most comprehensive work to date.
