D. M. Lockwood

D.M.Lockwood grew up in southern Illinois in a small, fish-fry sort of town just a speeding ticket across the Mississippi from St. Louis where he worked as a financial consultant for many years before packing up and heading west.

A forever-fan of classic storytelling whether in song, print or on the screen, Lockwood attributes his interest in creating memorable characters to the colorful Mafia influence he saw as a kid in the Midwestern farming and mining community where he lived.

After launching a successful career writing hundreds of songs, producing two albums, writing dozens of short stories, several screenplays and numerous non-fiction articles about social issues close to his heart, Lockwood has now turned his attention to a multi-title crime series that offers up suspense, humor, current events and heartfelt drama.

He's a founding member of Third Street Writers in Laguna Beach where he lives with his wife.
