Jane H. Fitzgerald

Jane H Fitzgerald is a former history teacher who writes poetry, short stories, and creates artistic collages. She is a sensitive and enthusiastic author who focuses on relationships, emotions, time and nature. Her work will touch your feelings and thoughts.

Jane’s latest book, Notes From the Undaunted, Poems About One Man's Journey with Cancer, chronicles her husband's struggle with stage four cancer. These realistic and inspirational poems will help anyone who has traveled this difficult road. Her other titles are: Notes From a Screened-In Porch, Notes From a Secret Garden, and Notes From the Bay.

Jane studied poetry with David Ignatow at Columbia University where she earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Teaching. She taught elementary and middle school students for twenty-five years, and developed a curriculum for the American colonial period.

Jane’s writing and collages have been published in many venues including: Bright Flash Literary Review, Still Point Arts Quarterly, Isele Magazine Quarterly, Your Daily Poem, Green Ink Poetry, Dreamers Creative Writing, Current Words Press, Open Door Poetry Magazine and more.

Jane is a native New Yorker who now lives with her husband in Florida.
