Desiree' Kanengoni

Desiree Kanengoni holds a in M.A Social Work & also a Bsc Mental Health. Born to a ballroom dancing couple in Zimbabwe in the early sixties. Desiree grew up as the seventh child in a large blended family that lost it's patriarch when she was at the age of 7. Which was a catalyst to her having to split her time between Zambia & Zimbabwe as she was moved around from her early adolescence to late teenagehood.

These experiences have had a huge influence within her writing especially in her first work "The Pure Abscess" and her unconventional career path which began as a bank teller to journalist and now mental health.

Desiree read for mental health initially as a nurse and later as a social worker at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen Scotland, furhered at the University of Southampton in Hampshire and finally the Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford Essex respectively.
