Margaret Erickson

I was born in River Hebert, Nova Scotia, Canada - received my education at the River Hebert Rural High School and St. Charles College in Amherst, N.S. I moved to Toronto - worked in law offices - had two children, a son Steve (who now lives in Evansville, Indiana with his wife,Ronda) and a daughter Lisa (who lives in New York with her husband, John). I re-married in 1986 to a wonderful guy called Bruce, and we operated a John Deere dealership in Alberta for a number of years retiring to spend 6 months in Alberta and 6 months in Arizona.

One of my earliest recollections is Christmas morning in River Hebert; I would open all my gifts and leave a small rectangular one until last because I knew what would be in it - a book!! I don't believe any gift was more important - I could hardly wait to go to my room and read. SO - my love of books was only 2nd to my love of animals, particularly cats. Thus - I wrote a book about our cat, Simon!!!!!
