Daniel Carter

Daniel Carter was born Ohio, and has now lived in Maryland and worked in the IT industry for over 20 years. He holds a degree in Criminology from the University of Maryland, and a Masters degree in Technology and Security Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, as well as the CISSP, CCSP, CISM, and CISA certifications.

Daniel currently works as a Cyber Security Project Manager at Johns Hopkins University & Medicine, and has previously worked for HP Enterprise, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and the University of Maryland. He enjoys writing technical guides and whitepapers on security, identity and access management, and systems architecture.

Daniel lives in Maryland with his wife Robyn and their 4 children, and enjoys taking his children to sporting and school events.
