Martha Singleton

After completing a distinguished career in the classroom, Martha Singleton continues to impact educators, parents and students with innovative, relevant perspectives in teaching and learning.

During four decades as one of the country’s outstanding journalism teachers, her work received accolades from many prestigious sources, including the University of Texas, who named her one of the “Top Ten Teachers in Texas.” The Dow Jones Newspaper Fund, along with the Wall Street Journal, selected her as one of America’s Distinguished Journalism Advisers. Martha was recognized by the state’s University Interscholastic League, receiving the Edith Fox King Award for her “significant contributions to Texas scholastic journalism.” A past president of Texas Association of Journalism Educators, she has also served on the State of Texas’ textbook selection committee.

She has also co-authored four books with her husband, Greg Singleton, on family and parenting topics.
