I always believed that everyone is born with a purpose in life. For some of us we realize our purpose earlier than most. The one thing I realized in my earlier years was that I had compassion for others and didn’t like to see suffering. I didn’t have many friends growing up, and during most my school years I maybe had one friend if any. I often catered to those who were like me, shy and quiet and often referred to by other students as odd. I was sometimes picked on by other kids and a few teachers who perceived me to be different, but not wanting to get to know me. I suffered a lot as a child because I felt I had no voice or that no one would listen to me. In the years while I was growing up, most parents took the adults word over what the child had to say. My parents were strict and believed in giving me everyday chores from a young age and that left little time for school homework. This didn’t leave me much time for play or to make friends. I hated most of the years I was a child and couldn’t wait to grow up. Feeling the way I did I was married at a young age and this lead me down a path of one mistake after another. It took me many years to mature, not learning from the first mistake but often repeating them over and over. When I realized that my childhood hadn’t prepared me for adulthood I had to make a change but realized I couldn’t do it alone. After years of so much heartbreak, I finally wanted to become closer to God. I always felt there was something missing in my life and its one thing to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior I had to give my life over to Him. After I did this and started to read my bible, my life began to change for the better. It’s never too late to change your life and learn from your mistakes and you don’t have to do it alone. After so many years of wanting peace in my life I found it through my relationship with God.
