I was an Engineer in my day job and I've spent about 25 years working with facts and breaking stuff, from Dump trucks to car seats to Wind turbine blades. Currently, I'm "resting between jobs" so I have some spare time. Despite being professionally destructive, I do, however, have a creative side, hence my attempts at writing.
I am, like many people I suppose, fond of reading, but I only seem to have time to read on holiday. A couple of years ago, while on holiday, I was remarking to my wife how expensive and absurd her passion for horses was. I then decided it was about time I wrote about this, in the vain hope I could save some poor soul from a life of financial ruin. The more I wrote, the more I thought of. I suppose it's true, its easier to write about things you know about; that said I can't see anybody being remotely interested in a book about being stuck in traffic.
The book is written from a wide range of experience, over about 15 years or so. Not all yards are the same, but they sure are very similar.. Definitely not black and white, more shades of grey. Actually, shades of green, which is horse snot..
