Tammy Trayer

Tammy Trayer lives an unusual but glorious off-grid life 25 miles upriver in Alaska, accessible only by snowmachine, boat, or helicopter. She and her family started their off-grid journey in 2010. They built their first homestead from the ground up while living in an 8' x 14' wall tent for 8 1/2 months in the wilds of Idaho. Her Alaska adventure began in January of 2026. She lives on a beautiful bluff (Trayer Bluff) overlooking the river with endless wilderness surrounding them.

She is not only an author but also the CEO & Founder of Faith Led Healing, LLC, where she runs a virtual practice as a Christ-centered integrative health practitioner, certified breathworker, & a clinical herbalism student.

Tammy started as a freelance writer, and her first book was written in 2016 while she lay flat on her back recovering for a year from life-saving surgery for breast implant illness. Her healing journey led her straight into her purpose, and her mess became her message. Her experience in her own healing journey has enabled her to be an expert in varying arenas, and she is a complex root cause specialist.

When Tammy isn't on Zoom with clients from around the globe or writing, she is in her wilderness playground, working on homestead infrastructure, doing homestead chores, playing and exploring in the wilds, harvesting and foraging from the wilds, or creating. She loves to craft things from her surroundings, such as birch bark baskets, macrame art with driftwood from the river, jewelry from rocks on the sandbar, antler art, pine needle baskets, and clothing and items made from leather and fur. She calls herself an introverted extrovert, visionary creative, with a deep love for helping people overcome and live a life worth living!

She believes it takes a village not only to raise a child but to walk through life and healing, and she has created a community to provide that village for her clients, readers, and audience.

She enjoys the slow, intentional pace she has created in the wilds of Alaska because, in that space, she knows what matters most to her, can sit and hear the still small voice of Jesus daily, and see His presence around her.

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NIV

"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17 NIV
