George Koelsch

I retired to West Virginia. I started writing requirements 42 years ago while in the US Army, and have continued that work for the last 30 years as a contractor for the Federal Government. I became an efficiency expert during a five year stint as an Industrial Engineer at Michelin Tire Corporation, and then I applied that new skill to system engineering to tailor the lifecycle development process. I was among the first requirement engineers in the DC area to employ such a technique. I have authored ten non-fiction articles on computers, coin collecting, stamp collecting, and high-energy physics. I recently decided to combine my two passions, system engineering and writing. During the summer of 2019, I taught a class on requirements at UW-Milwaukee, my alma mater. Starting Fall 2020, the class will be offered online from UWM every fall from then on.
