Noel MacCarry

I am a 66 yr. old retired librarian who mostly wrote grants during my 30 yr. long career at Pequenakonck Elementary School in North Salem, NY. I live in Danbury and New Fairfield CT but also spend a good amount of time in Sanibel, Fla.

I have 3 adult children and grew up writing as a son of journalists. However, my first published book stemmed from my career as a librarian. I loved the Who Was ...., Who Is.... series and saw how accessible the books were for young readers. I said to myself: kids should know who Pete Seeger was and his contributions to NY State and the world. So I pitched my book idea and lo and behold my 3 chapters were read and my project accepted. I wish I had more time to write but my saxophone playing is currently my priority (along with tennis, tennis, and cycling. I am also bound for California to see my recently born twin grand children.
