I'm a fanatical crime thriller, thriller writer. I like my books to be page-turners, where readers
are driven on by the plot to exciting conclusions. My DI Sarah Machin crime thriller series has four books, Soul Mates, Bailey's Land ,Selective Memory and Death of Innocence, published so far.
I think a series of detective novels gives you a chance to develop the main characters making them easier to relate to. I have a lot more books in the series to follow, and I hope that readers will enjoy reading the stories as much as I like writing them.
Writing thrillers is all about passion, and if a writer hasn't got it, it's sure to show in his writing.
I've got the passion. I want to create engaging stories that are memorable to the reader. Writing good stories is about entertainment. If at the end of your book a reader hasn't been entertained then a writer hasn't succeeded.
My favourite all time author is Ed McBain. Now there was a writer who knew how to engage his reader from the first page.
Favourite book = The Boys from Brazil (now there's a page-turner)
