Megan D. McFarlane

Megan D. McFarlane is an assistant professor of Communication at Marymount University in Arlington, VA. Her most recent research centers on women’s reproductive health care policies, with a particular focus on maternity (pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, and postpartum). She has also studied the problem of sexual assault in the U.S. military and on U.S. university campuses, as well as gender, race, and intersectionality in film and television.

She holds a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Utah, a M.A. in Communication Studies from California State University, Fullerton, and a B.A. in Communication and Business from Vanguard University of Southern California.
