ROMY DUTLINGER

Romy Dutlinger lives in Lincolnshire, where she wishes there were more shops and pavements, and fewer sheep.

The picture shows me busy writing, listening to music from the time of my novels; could be The Animals, could the Stones; maybe Satisfaction?

My first two novels, Juju Love and Red Mambas, are set in Uganda in 1969. It was a society in turmoil in many ways, as colonial power had recently given way to independence. Not all the expatriates had actually noticed this, apparently.

Kampala society was full of eccentric characters, and their values frequently clashed with the local traditions.

Although the books are fiction, with satire, romance and a few thrills, my experiences there certainly shaped some of the content.

The third book in the series is set in Kabul in 1970, and then the action moves to London.

Kabul Dreams will be up on Amazon on February 6th 2018.

I am working on the fourth novel in the Cavanagh & Kessler series, and also on one set in present day Phuket.

This is an excellent read. The punchy pace entices you to read on.

The characters are the same as those from books 1 and 2, and it

is good to catch up with them and follow their adventures in

Afghanistan. If you like espionage, intrigue and adventure (and

a sprinkling of romance), I highly recommend this book!
