Dr. Anahi Munoz brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and educational fervor to the world of fiction for teens and young readers. With a Doctoral in Nursing Practice (DNP) from Nova Southeastern University (NSU), her academic journey commenced at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Argentina, before shifting from journalism to healthcare. This pivot led her to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of the Republic in Uruguay, her homeland, in 2002.

Her relocation to the U.S. in 2003 to pursue a Master's in Education marked the beginning of an enriching tenure with the Miami-Dade School System. Here, Dr. Munoz's passion for education truly blossomed, guiding her decision to further specialize with a second Master in Nursing Practice and a post-master certification as a Psychiatric Clinical Specialist from the University of Cincinnati (UC).

Throughout her career, Dr. Munoz has demonstrated a commitment to the comprehensive care of psychiatric clients, drawing on her deep knowledge in both the medical and psycho-social domains. Her work, particularly in the early detection and prevention of Metabolic Syndrome related to Second Generation Antipsychotic medications, showcases her dedication to impactful healthcare research.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Munoz has excelled as an Associated Professor, where her love for teaching and mentorship has touched many lives.
