Cathy Snapp, PhD is Chief Behavioral Health Officer for the leading-edge technology healthcare company, New Practices, and is Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Florida State College of Medicine.
From 2004 to 2016 she served on the graduate medical faculty at the Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare Family Medicine Residency Program and served as the Director of Behavioral Health from 2008 to 2016. During her years as Director, Cathy was awarded over $8 million in grant funding to develop whole person, life style-based models of diagnosis, treatment, and training in mindfulness-based health and well-being. Her team was awarded the first family medicine residency program pilot collaboration with the Institute for Functional Medicine, a global leader in the development of twenty-first-century models of precision medicine and genomic, root-cause diagnosis and treatment for chronic disease care, physician training, and sustainable community health.
She is the coauthor, with Kitty Crenshaw, of The Hidden Life: Revelations from a Holy Journey and The Hidden Life Awakened. She lives in Tallahassee, Florida.
