Ping Ha Chi

The Ping Ha Chi nom de plume was born from a desire to share the author’s story about the girl who got away. In Chinese, Ping refers to a duckweed, a flower without any roots. The protagonist, Sam, blooms in the business world, but lacks meaningful personal roots. Ha Chi refers to laughter and its connection to life force energy. Coincidentally, hachi in Japanese refers to the number 8.  

 

The author is a former lawyer and transactional partner, advising early-stage tech companies to global Fortune 500 companies. A senior executive for both a leading food manufacturing and a renewable energy company, he received his B.S. from Georgetown University and a J.D. from Emory University.  His favorite flavor of ice cream is Dulce de Leche.
