Claudio Rossi

Claudio Rossi used to conduct geological and topographical measurements in remote, unexplored areas where he was forced to use instruments that were just slightly more advanced than the ones used in ancient Roman times. He has written many essays on ancient settlements and Roman centuriation. His series “An Architect at the Time of the Roman Empire” is set in the years following the death of the emperor Nero. He is also the author of the series “Quintilius. Life between Rome's Republic and its Empire,” which takes place during the final years of the Republic and the early years of the Empire.
