Karen Meadows

Dr. Karen Meadows is the Supervisor of K-8 Counseling in Guilford County Schools in North Carolina as well as an adjunct professor in the School of Education at North Carolina A&T State University. She is a graduate from North Carolina A&T State University, earning a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree and a graduate from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she received a Ph.D in Educational Leadership. Her research and teaching interests include social justice, school reform, and personal empowerment via cultural narratives. She believes in the power of narrative (one's personal story) as an alternate way of teaching not only life skills, but survival skills.
