Jonathan Scott

Jonathan Scott is a writer and record collector. His last book was INTO THE GROOVE. It's all about the birth of recorded sound. The one before that was THE VINYL FRONTIER. It was all about that record NASA stuck to the side of Voyager 1 and Voyager 2. His next one, THE REEL THING, is about cassette tapes and the magnetic recording revolution. He's also doing a book about Apollo 11.

After studying archaeology at university, Jonathan worked as a reporter at his local newspaper. He joined Metropolis Publishing, becoming editor of Book Collector, while also contributing features, interviews and reviews to the magazine’s better looking, better selling sister Record Collector. He continues to write about music, science and genealogy.

He grew up in Kent. He now lives in Sussex.
