Daniel Schoeman

Daniel Schoeman is a teacher, writer, carpenter and designer of self-sufficient buildings (and food production). With a background in law, languages and science, Daniel has spent the last 20 years quietly traveling the globe with the aim of learning as much as possible about inter-human communication, building design, self-sufficiency, and being happy. An avid explorer, surfer, diver, and climber, his passion is related to bringing like-minded people together, to live close to the land and to create self-sufficient dwellings where the individual is in charge of his or her own destiny. His first book about water and self-sufficiency was published in 2016.

Currently he is in Asia researching cartography, cob houses, and metal frame structures as alternative building techniques and aims to publish manuals on all.

His personal goal is to be an efficient problem solver and to always tackle adversity head-on.
