Robert D. Hughes is the author of the Brian & Darcy McKay series of thrillers. The latest is TWISTED GREED, set in Montana's Yellowstone country and released in August 2024. BONE MOUNTAIN and DIRTY MONEY are the first two books. Brian is a former FBI agent and current P. I. He solves crimes both in Chicago and Montana. Darcy, Brian's niece, is a graduate student in paleontology at Montana State University and a formidable investigator in her own right The McKays find themselves in grave danger as they face off against violent goons, homicidal ex-cops, malevolent corporate bigwigs and a blood-curdling logging machine in attack mode.
Bob's short stories of mystery and crime have appeared in numerous anthologies and magazines, both print and digital. He earned a Masters degree from the University of Michigan. As a financial professional in Chicago, he investigated white-collar crime, bringing several embezzlers to justice. He is an avid reader of mysteries and thrillers, with special affinity for the works of Michael Connelly, Thomas Perry and John Sandford. He lives in Livingston, Montana with his wife Sally and an adventurous dog. He is an Active Member of the Mystery Writers of America and the Short Mystery Fiction Society.
