J. S. Pan uses Yi-Jing (I-Ching, also known as Classic of Changes) as his writing guide.

Many of my story ideas were inspired by ancient Chinese text, stories, idioms, legends, and scriptures, from Eastern Philosophy (namely; Laozi and Confucius).

Mysticism and Metaphysics are some of his other sources of inspiration.
