David Wolfe

I have lived an interesting and non-traditional life.

I started my career as a Certified Public Accountant – passing the CPA exam in 1980. Many years later, through many professional twists and turns, I became a software consultant. I founded my software consulting company, Lupine Partners, in 1993. Along the way, with a lot of financial investment and study, I became a marketing specialist and adviser to software professionals. I went into partnership with Hollywood actress Kate Zenna in 2014. We work with business professionals, ‘regular’ people, and even families in learning how to shine on camera, run better business meetings, and present themselves in front of audiences large and small. My career has most recently evolved into teaching other people how to write their own books while I continue to write my own.

For some reason, starting in 2006, I decided I would become an author and write about what I know. I don’t why this notion jumped in my head, but I didn’t fight it. The writing comes easily to me and I have been told by many that my words have helped them in their lives. Well – that’s all I needed to know. Count on at least one book per year from me until I can no longer get my fingers to play nice with the keyboard.

My first two books were tough to write. I really had no idea what I was doing with book one – “Software & Vendors & Requirements, Oh My!” As I write this and think about how much time and money I wasted…well, Oh My! “From the Trenches” was a little bit easier but the subject matter is a bit dry and very narrow – only people going through a software implementation appreciate the wisdom and tactics in the book. “Marching to the Beat of a Different Drummer” was my first book on marketing and I still have people emailing me wanting to know if they can have their own copies. (Answer: Sorry folks, I no longer have these books at home – you have to buy them from Amazon!) My recent book with Kate Zenna, “Falling in Love… (with the camera)”, is my favorite as I got to collaborate with my partner and be extremely honest with my decade-long struggle of creating business videos that did not make me look like a psychopath.

As time moves on. I find my muse drifting towards working with the artistic community – probably because of my association with Kate through ZennaWolfe. My next book, scheduled to be completed near the end of 2017 titled, “The Responsible Artist – A Financial Guide for Conscientious Creative Souls Who Keep the Dream Alive and Have a Great Life Along the Way (or Money and Art – Isn’t it time we all just got along?)” will help ‘The Creative’ as they balance their art with making a living at it. This book will focus on time, money, and mindset. I peck away at this one a little bit each day…

Stay tuned - more to come!
