Marcella Wilson, Ph.D. has over 30 years of experience in healthcare administration, not-for-profit management, behavioral health, criminal justice and public sector programming. She holds a master's degree in social work from the University of Michigan and has a Ph.D. in healthcare administration and higher education. In her role as president and founder of Transition to Success, she is leading a national social change movement to understand poverty as an environmentally-based condition and not a character flaw. This understanding of poverty calls for nothing less than a scalable, sustainable, national standardization of care for the treatment of poverty: a system where science and data drive practice - not individual practitioner preference and good intentions. Dr. Wilson's work has been featured on the CBS Evening News and is recognized as a Clinton Global Initiative. She gives presentations throughout the country and is a captivating speaker. She resides in Maryland with her husband Joe and their dog Rocky.
