T Ann Whitley-Wright

Tricia Ann Whitley-Wright is a long name to fit on a book, so I sometimes call myself Tann Whight, Tricia Wright, or just Trish. I was born in West Yorkshire, England, brought up in East Yorkshire, and now live in North Yorkshire. Yorkshire may be my favourite place in the whole world, and if it isn't, then my favourite place would be somewhere in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.

I am quite old, but not very grown up, and I have been writing for an extremely long time. I have also done lots of other jobs, most of which I have enjoyed, however writing is what I love best. I write lots of different kind of stories, some non-fiction, and some poetry. My work has appeared in magazines, anthologies, and newspapers. The Poppy Seed adventures are my first series of books for children, and I particularly like Poppy because she shares my love of growing things.

I also like cats, the colour blue, reading, and baked beans.
