- JP Thorson grew up in Iowa - raised to value family, hard work, and the outdoors. History, sports, and thriller aficionado. Hooked on Acri Creature Feature, Aurora models, and Famous Monsters by age four. An avid fan of films by John Ford, Howard Hawks, Alfred Hitchcock, John Hughes, Hammer Horror, and Universal Classic Monsters.

- Thor often terrified his parents by climbing treetops and jumping off roofs in his youth. He has been fortunate to visit 67 countries. He proudly served in the US Army and Navy, spanning four decades. "The Men Behind the Boots & Bolts" (Scary Monsters # 111), Special Olympics (Navy Compass), football and golf articles have been published in various media outlets. 'A Monstrous Melee,' 'Shades of Nam,' 'Not What it Seems' and 'Brides of Frankenstein' are his first four novels.

- The author and his wife enjoy living in the Southwest, walking their dogs, visiting national parks, and watching Turner Classic Movies. He savors the time to golf, play cards and ocean swims.
