David A. Christensen

David grew up in Pakistan, the son of missionary parents Jack and Edna Christensen. He spent his childhood years in a boarding school in the foothills of the Himalayas. The family returned to the United States when he was a teenager, and his father took a pastorate in Maine. After seminary, David returned to Maine and served in dual ministry as a college professor and pastor for over thirty years. He retired in 2018 as Senior Pastor of Galilee Baptist Church in Gorham, Maine. David is the Founder and President of The Rephidim Project, a ministry devoted to mobilizing, equipping, and encouraging pastors with a blueprint for expositional preaching. He has taught seminars on preaching in the northeastern United States as well as in other countries, including Ireland, Ukraine, and Panama. David and his wife, Janie, live in Maine and have two adult daughters.
