Sohan Lal

Sohan Lal started his career as a production assistant and script writer with the national TV Channel of India - Doordarshan in 1996–2000 and later worked with the Indian television channels – Indiavision 2000-2002, Middle East Television in 2002-2004, Jeevan TV in 2004 and Amrita TV in 2004-2012 as Producer-Programs.

Sohan Lal was born in Thiruvananthapuram on 14 November 1977 to P K Das and Kamala Das, both schoolteachers, as the youngest brother of four elder sisters. He did his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Kerala. Sohan Lal also did a Post Graduate Diploma in Web Designing from C-Dac. A holder of the Advanced Yoga Teacher's Certificate from Yoga Alliance International, Canada. He is also a yoga practitioner and taking classes for the students from various countries of the world at Ayurshanti, Trivandrm.

He did a sequel of three feature films titled as Neermaathalathinte Pookkal (Flowers of Neermaathalam), Orkkuka Vallappozhum (Remember once in a while) and Kadhaveedu (House of Stories) based on Nostalgia, known as ‘Smrithi thrayam’ (‘Trilogy Nostalgia’). Sohan Lal got a number of recognitions for that; bagged several State awards and screened in various International film festivals.

Sohan Lal has penned 14 books - Three novels (Published by DC Books), three screenplays (Published by The State Institute of Languages, Govt. of Kerala) and two books in English (Published by Amazon).

Presently he is working on a children’s feature film.
