David Hicks

DAVID HICKS, PhD (1960-) grew up in Harrison, NY and earned his PhD in Literature at NYU. He is the author of the novel-in-stories WHITE PLAINS (Conundrum Press/Bower House, 2017), the children's book THE MAGIC TICKET (Fulcrum Books, 2024), and THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO DANNY (Vine Leaves Press, 2025). He directs the creative writing graduate program at Wilkes University and is a two-time Fulbright Scholar (Czech Republic 2020 and 2022). David is represented by Victoria Skurnick of the Levine Greenberg Rostan Literary Agency. He and his wife Cynthia live in Pennsylvania.
