Kurt Johnson

Kurt Johnson is the author of numerous fiction novels. His novel The Barrens, written with his daughter, Ellie, won the Minnesota Book Award for Best Novel and the Golden Crown Literary Society’s Best Debut and Best Fiction Novel. His Sin City Thriller books, Las Vegas Turnaround and Rough Diamonds, are based on his time running nightclubs in Las Vegas, and are characterized by a straight-shooting style that unflinchingly plunges into the seedy side of Vegas. His novel The Moon Tavern, written with his wife, Stephanie Hansen, is a culinary love story spiked with original recipes. He divides his time between Minneapolis and Ely, Minnesota.
