Craig Allen Heath decided he wanted to be a novelist at age fourteen. He achieved that goal fifty years later by publishing his first novel, Where You Will Die, in 2022.
That began the Eden Ridge Story series, philosophical mysteries all set in the fictional Sierra Nevada foothill town of Eden Ridge. Modeled on Paradise, California, where he and his wife made their home for twenty-one years, the setting became an homage to that lovely forested community after the devastating 2018 Camp Fire. The second in the series, titled Killing Buddhas, came out in 2024.
He now lives in southwest Washington state where he counts his blessings daily and works on the third, Reason Not the Need. He says he’ll keep turning out new stories until he runs out of ideas, or the sun explodes, whichever comes first.
