Harrison Crecraft

Harrison Crecraft (b. 1952) has pursued his passion of science throughout his life. After earning his PhD in Geology, he studied volcanic and hydrothermal systems for the geothermal industry. Throughout his career, he has probed beneath the surface to understand the "what" of complex geological systems. Driven to understand the "why" of complexity, he has probed the conceptual foundations of physics and thermodynamics. In Evolving Complexity--Time's Arrows and the Physics of Emergence, he shares his bold synthesis of physics, thermodynamics, and evolution to reveal why complexity evolves.
