Soliman Abu-Samra

Dr. Abusamra is a senior leader with over 15 years of experience in major infrastructure projects. As Director of Commercial and Contracts at Alto HSR, he oversees contract management and commercial structuring for Canada’s largest infrastructure project.

He holds a Ph.D. in civil engineering from Concordia University. He authored several books and articles on asset management and construction operations, and spoke in public events (TED Talk, CBC, IAM). He also serves in the CNAM’ board of directors. Furthermore, he is an active member in Building Transformations - Asset Management and Lifecycle Think Tank.

He has 10+ years of professional experience across three continents. In Africa, he worked as a Cost Engineer at Gleeds Cost Consultancy. In Asia, he worked as Project Controls Engineer at Consolidated Contractors Company. In North America, he worked as a Manager in KPMG's Global Infrastructure Advisory Team.

His key areas of interests are in asset management, artificial intelligence, construction management, BIM and reality capturing technologies, digital twins, optimization, decision-making, project management, infrastructure, and sustainability.
