David Barratt

David Barratt was born in London, attending KCS, Wimbledon. He graduated from St.Andrews University, taking further qualifications at Oxford and Liverpool Universities. For many years he was Senior Lecturer in English at the University of Chester, but also teaching abroad at FC College, Lahore, Pakistan; Chico Stae University, CA., and UNC Asheville, North Carolina.

Besides a professional career in English Studies, David has taken a keen interest in Christian theology and spirituality, and in the crossover between literature and theology.

He is married to Janet, a professional music teacher, and has one daughter, Claire, who has an MFA in dance. He is now retired, sharing his time between Asheville, NC and Nottinghamshire, England.
