Gracie Kim

Gracie Kim writes fictional stories stemming from her own experiences as a Korean-American born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She descends from two generations of writers: her paternal grandfather, a poet, and her father, an author and a poet.

In her spare time, she loves reading, writing, practicing yoga, and cooking. She is also an activist with an organization that fights sex trafficking in the Korean community.

Her favorite authors are John Steinbeck, Elie Wiesel, Eleanor Estes, Roald Dahl, Kate Dicamillo, Alice Walker, and John Milton. Her favorite playwrights are William Shakespeare and Tennessee Williams.

Kim received her bachelor’s degree in English from UCLA and her master's degree in Human Resources Management from USC. She is the founder of Light Consultancy, an HR services company, and in her subsequent career, she has worked in accounting and human resources. She also studied the Meisner Technique under William Alderson and has a passion for theatrical arts.

She currently resides in California with her husband, son, daughter, and cat.
