Raised in Port Washington, New York where the story in his first book, "Letters From My Uncles" is based, Mark is the youngest of three brothers. A graduate of C.W. Post Center of Long Island University (now LIU Post) with a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science.
Mark worked for 32 years for the U.S. Government in a position that brought Mark to numerous third world countries in Southeast Asia, Central America and Africa. His essays and reports were reviewed by Congress and U.S. businesses.
Mark's personal writings continue to be published and featured as editorials and opinions in several regional newspapers and national periodicals. Mark is currently working on his second book, A collection of humorous essays on the life and experiences of a New Yorker who moves to the South.
Mark is currently retired from the U.S. Government to South Carolina where he participates in charity work and enjoys playing softball.
