Thomas Preiss

Thomas Preiss has written two fictional magical realism novels, two children’s stories, a photographic essay and is currently creating a series of books on gratitude in the midst of loss.

He is a cyclist and enjoys both Northern California and Western New York on Lake Erie's shore as home base.

His children’s stories are fantasies about playing outdoors and using imaginations in a manner befitting childhood before the onset of the video game culture. Both stories are beautifully illustrated and elevate a child’s interest in the great outdoors, and in where their own imaginations can lead them.

Preiss also enjoys photography, using his work to inspire essays on such topics as fatherhood, the future, forgiveness, and living by certain time-tested values.
