Mentoring Women Forward: The 2019 Playbook
The book was compiled from interviews with the winners of the Bpeace Women Forward Awards, a nationwide competition sponsored by the 5-star nonprofit, the Business Council for Peace (Bpeace) and co-authored with Toni Maloney, CEO of Bpeace. The playbook is straight from the front lines of how to do the right thing and the smart thing. It covers not only what people can and should do to open more doors for women and girls, but what people are doing now and the results.
Cooking with Adrienne: A Story of Friendship and Food
This is the first in a series of books based on the life of my friend and food mentor, Adrienne Zausner, and the food that we spent many happy hours growing, cooking and consuming. In 2010 Adrienne was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA) – a form of dementia that destroys the frontal lobe of the brain which controls language and organizational tasks. In a race against time I gathered together Adrienne’s recipes, food notes and diaries from 50 years of cooking, eating and travelling – this was the history of a food revolution. A portion of the proceeds from each book is donated to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (theaftd.org) which is leading the efforts to build awareness about PPA and other forms of dementia related to Frontotemporal Degeneration.
