Solange Ritchie

Born in the beautiful tropical island of Jamaica of a Jamaican father and a French mother, Solange Ritchie immigrated to the U.S. at age 11. Since then, she has been a dynamic force for change. Despite the demands of a busy legal career, she has achieved a successful writing career. Her debut thriller, THE BURNING MAN, immediately garnered the attention of the media and fans and became a must-read for book clubs eager to feature a book that centers on the painfully real struggles of a driven woman, a no-nonsense FBI pathologist/agent, who is torn between her dangerous career demands and motherhood. With a passion for philanthropic work, Solange served on many legal and charitable boards before her divorce and move back to Southern Florida. THE BURNING MAN is currently being adapted for film.

In 2018, Solange released the next book in the Dr. Catherine Powers series called FIRESTORM. This novel is set in Southern California, Cat was taking on a serial killer from her past and a serial arsonist intent on watching Southern California’s glitzy posh neighborhoods go up in flames. One reviewer stated “if you like psychological thrillers, you will need to get this book. But if you’re going to read it make sure to make plans. Once you open the book you will not willingly put it down until it is finished. You NEED to check it out.”

Solange released the next novel in the Dr. Catherine Powers series, DYING DECLARATION. In this novel, Cat teams up with her boss, as young prostitutes are being picked up, murdered, and left for dead in the Florida Everglades. But the first victim does not fit the killers modus operandi. She was a legal secretary working for the Florida Fort Lauderdale-based international law firm, Black and Knight. As Cat investigates this and other deaths, they lead back to the firms’ henchmen and to its partners. With the help of another firm employee, Cat discovers a secret web of murder, illicit drugs, prostitution, sex trafficking, corruption, and more. The firm’s partners are intent on killing anyone who can lead the law back to them including Cat. As the body counts grow, Powerful people will make decisions that will change lives and destroy families. As Cat uncovers the conspiracy only one partner the mastermind, will become Cat’s ally.

Solange has just released the fourth novel in the Dr. Catherine Powers series, BOMB BLAST. In this novel, Cat is pitted against two Syrian born serial bombers intent on causing mayhem throughout the United States. Cat must determine the nature of their goals and bring these killers to justice. In this harrowing thriller, Cat will expose the secret behind her six sense. Readers will be given a glimpse into Cat’s past.

Solange has also just completed a southern Gothic horror novel called FIONA’S BOX. A fan of things that go bump in the night, Solange thought it would be fun to write a horror piece. In this novel, readers meet Casey Willis, a young teenager enthralled with a demonic silver box. As the demon in the box is set free, it takes over Casey’s mind, soul and spirit. A local priest, another priest, and a cardinal from the Vatican are called in to battle the demon for Casey’s soul and her freedom. As the demon grows stronger, only one man is left to do battle. This novel will be published in the next 4 to 6 months.

Solange is working on and close to completion of her fifth Dr. Catherine (Cat) Powers novel called BLIND INJUSTICE. In this novel, Cat uncovers the secrets behind multiple execution style murders of male FBI agents in Chicago, Miami and Brownsville, Texas. She uncovers electronic evidence of a master conspiracy involving millions of dollars, sex trafficking, and more all orchestrated by someone high up within the FBI. When the case is over, the FBI will be subjected to a level of scrutiny that will rock it to its core.

Solange is also working closely with Private Investigator, Francois McKinnon to bring his stories to life. Francois has over 30 years’ experience in the PI business and has travelled the world for his cases. Teaming up with Solange, he promises to bring a new and exciting series featuring charismatic PI, Peter Gray, and his team, to Amazon. The first novel co-authored by Solange and Francois is now available on Amazon, NO LONGER SAFE, is based on the real life kidnapping of an American teenager, Amy Jones, who is sold into sex trafficking in Mexico City. Peter Gray and his team are charged with locating Amy and bringing her home safe. They take down the sex traffickers who drugged Amy, holding her against her will. Peter risks it all in this chilling cat and mouse game to keep his team alive against powerful Mexican cartels, while securing Amy and bringing her home alive. With a twist ending that you won't see coming, NO LONGER SAFE promises an amazing, fast paced read - the first of many Peter Gray adventures to come. Solange and Francois are already hard at work on the second Peter Gray mystery novel, MIRRORS OF DECEPTION.

On a personal level, Solange attended the University of Florida and is a diehard gator fan. She tries to never miss a game on TV. After finishing school at the University of Florida. Solange attended Western State College of Law in Southern California. She was honored to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. And in 2014, she received the State bar of California’s highest award for solo and small firm practitioners. It was awarded to only one attorney throughout the entire state of California.

Francois McKinnon is a Private Investigator with over 30 years of experience in the PI business and has travelled the world for his cases. Born in the United States, raised in Quebec Canada with French and Scottish heritage, Francoise has worked in the world of private investigations all over the world.
