I was born the son of a sharecropper in the rural town of Owensboro in Wilcox County Georgia. I experienced all forms of farming, beginning with a mule progressing to a tractor. I have three years of college behind me. My life has been full with adventures of all sorts. My work history is Farming, Chemical Fertilizer Manager, Farm Service Agency Associate, a Clerk in a friend's merchandising store and a Purchasing Agent for a major irrigation company. I play many musical instruments, sang in Barbershop and Gospel Quartets as well as being a soloist. Participated in many stage play productions as an actor and director. I have played in three different bands playing for dances and other functions. The highlight of my career in music was performing with my guitar and singing at the famous "Peachtree Playhouse" in Atlanta, Georgia eighteen years. Member of Lions Club, Masons, Jaycees and President of Wilcox Arts Council. I have been the Director of many different projects over the last forty-five years. My writing column: Rooster Ramblings has appeared in the Cordele Dispatch over four years. Author of six local books. I am a Naturist and have my faith in God.
