Klingner Annett

Annett Klingner studied art history, literature and medieval studies in Berlin and Rome and received her PhD on an art historical topic of the Renaissance. She returns regularly to the Eternal City to live and work. Her main research areas are the reception of ancient pagan traditions in the Italian Renaissance, works of art on mythological and cosmological themes, and Roman urban history. She is also fascinated by the many charming, special, hidden and unknown places in Marseille and Provence. Klingner works as a journalist and author.

As half-Italian, she was practically born with a desire for sun, dolce vita and pleasure. Annett Klingner loves to track down fascinating places on the road. Even world-famous sights have secrets. She writes them down so that other travellers can get to know them too.

If one travelsa lot one should be independent. But what if one is a passionate cat owner? Then one often find paths that others firmly claim to not exist - and write them down.
