Jamal Lanre Shashore

Jamal Lanre Shashore is the author of two life-affirming publications: 'Ten Statements (published in 2009 under the pen name 'JL Shash') and 'Self-Motivation Diary of a Born Optimist' (2017).

Born and raised in Lagos Nigeria to a journalist father and TV broadcaster mother, the work ethic of both his parents and the adversity he himself experienced and had to overcome growing up, courtesy of his parents' eventual separation inspired him to embark on what has since become a life-long journey and passion in the formulation and sharing of ideas and philosophies aimed at improving the human condition.

Drawing upon various influences from his academic background and training in Philosophy, Performance Coaching and Advanced Psychotherapy - together with his voluntary work experience mentoring, motivating and counselling clients and service users of leading UK wellbeing charities - he established the Born Motivated Training project in 2010. A project which employed the medium of training workshops, inspirational videos and publications to empower audiences of diverse communities, orientations and cultures with the motivational tools, techniques and strategies for the overcoming of personal obstacles on the path to achieving one's goals and aspirations. Under his stewardship, the Born Motivated Training project successfully delivered 337 personal and professional development themed courses/classroom-styled educational workshops and seminars across the East and South East regions of England between 2010 and 2018.

The next phase of the project - and currently in the pipeline - is 'Inspira8ion Room' initiative; a broadcasting platform dedicated to the production and sharing of inspirational content in the form of cutting-edge interviews with visionaries, thought leaders and global influencers with the primary objective being to inform, educate and empower audiences from all walks of life with innovative ideas for leading a more fulfilling and productive life.

He currently resides in Bedford, East of England
